More about Black Humour

After the birth of Black Humour as a Guinness-supported team name for the Dutton Rally of 1993, the group reformed from time to time especially at the Shepparton Skidpan and at Morwell Hillclimb, as well as in another couple of Dutton Rallies and two Targa Tasmanias.

After the 2nd Canteen event at Laverton, Black, and his wife Humour, decided to take a 2-year assignment overseas. Some 13 years and several countries later, they found themselves in Lugano, Switzerland.

During that period, Black Humour was but a fond memory. Except in 2005 when Nic Cox, one of the members of that original 3-car team (he had "Tall, Dark and Have Some" emblazoned across the windscreen of his Jaguar on that inaugural Dutton Rally) came to Europe to navigate for Peter in that year's Stelvio Rally. A week of maximum fun was had touring over umpteen Alpine passes in the very same Lotus Elise.

Below is a link to a memorable Black Humour day at Laverton Airbase outside Melbourne, where many of the Black Humour fraternity brought along their machinery to provide thrills (without spills) for CanTeen (teenagers with cancer).
